Our Technology
Osaka Soda has many top-share products in both Japan and international niche markets thanks to our foundational seven core technologies. Fusing these technologies has allowed us to continually innovate new products for Healthcare and other business areas.
Our Healthcare Business
At Osaka Soda, we apply three core technologies – unique organic synthesis, biotechnology, and chromatography – to contribute to the pharmaceutical industry. Our Health Care business segment is comprised of two main areas:
Manufactured under GMP control, our silica gel for liquid chromatography is used as a functional separation material in the research and development of new pharmaceutical products and in their commercial-scale purification processes.
Manufacturing of APIs and their intermediates relies on our special techologies such as optically active materials using catalyst, saccharide-related compounds using gene recombination, enzymes using extraction, and Japan’s largest freeze dryer under GMP control.
Sustainability
We pursue the possibilities of chemistry and continuously contribute to the realization of a sustainable society by challenging new fields.
Our group will strengthen manufacturing with consideration for the environment and safety, contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals through companywide activities, in addition to contribute through superior products and technologies created through the deepening and fusion of core technologies.
As part of our group’s efforts to mitigate climate change such as global warming, we continue to promote initiatives to reduce CO2 emissions and environmental footprint.
We are also actively involved in environmental preservation, occupational health and safety activities, and the development of future leaders.
Our mission as a chemical company is to address a variety of social issues through innovative chemistry.
R&D
We are developing new pharmaceutical purification materials and technologies, aiming to create products that help extend healthy life expectancy and improve Quality of Life.
In 2017, we opened our Corporate R&D Center to enable us to collaboratively fuse our seven core technologies in order to create new purification materials for pharmaceuticals.
